Dry Storage: Store compressed coco coir blocks in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from direct precipitation.
Seal Protection: Keep the outer plastic wrapper sealed until ready to hydrate to avoid moisture absorption or contamination.
Expanded Coir Storage: Once hydrated, unused expanded coir can be kept in a breathable tote or covered container for up to 6 months.
Sunlight: Avoid leaving unhydrated compressed blocks in direct hot sunlight for prolonged periods.

Unpack Block

Remove the plastic wrap and place the compressed coir block into a large container, wheelbarrow or tub.

Add Water

Slowly pour 20 to 25 litres of warm or ambient water over the block.

Allow Expansion

Let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes while the coir fully absorbs the water and swells up.

Fluff & Plant

Fluff the expanded coir with a hand trowel. Mix with your choice of nutrients or potting soil and start planting.

How to Use 10lb Coco Coir Chunks:
🚰 Pour 8 gallons of warm water slowly over the compressed coconut husk chunks. Make sure the water soaks in completely.
👐 Break apart the block by hand until the coco chunks become light and spongy, ready for your plant containers.
🌱 Combine with your preferred soil mix or plant food to support healthy growth.
